Who we are
New Covenant Christian Fellowship was birth as a directive from God in the desert of Balad Iraq in 2004.
Where Elder Victor Barnwell, who at the time was taking cover in a bunker during an enemy attack, was given the foundational scripture upon which this ministry was built.
Jeremiah 31:31-34 which states
“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—
32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.
33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
The focus of this house of worship was to establish sound relationships with God and family.
After returning stateside in January of 2005, things did not develop immediately; Elder Victor Barnwell
first visited various ministries, but his spirit was not quite settled, When a co-worker requested that he begin a Bible Study for her and her family . Elder Victor Barnwell knew that he must obey his call. There was only 2 families, his co-worker and his own , Bible Study was started on Saturday
afternoons at Kelly AFB . In the summer of 2005 . The physical ministry had begun to manifest itself; The offering was mainly coins that the children gathered from their parent’s couch.
A few months later God instructed Pastor Victor Barnwell to step out from Kelly AFB and find the building where this ministry would grow. It was at this time that God directed him to our first main location on Montgomery Rd. The ministry at the time had $20.00 dollars in an envelope that had been collected over the past several months. After negotiating with the landlord, we move into a thousand square feet of this building at $500.00 per month without a deposit. God made a way for Pastor Victor Barnwell to afford the financial overhead of this ministry giving it the time and opportunity for the church to develop.
As families began to attend, the ministry began to grow; Deacon Barnwell and Mother Barnwell packed up and left Early branch South Carolina, and move here where they became a huge asset to the ministry.
The vision of NCCF had taken shape and we were functioning as a fully operational ministry.
In 2012 Antoinette and JC became a part of this family; leaving South Carolina and immediately
taking part in the ministry to help propel it forward.
A van was purchased to help bring families that do not have transportation. N.C.C.F has many auxiliaries that form the ministry.
God blessed for N.C.C.F to obtain a new place of praise and worship, located at 8110 Windway Dr Windcrest, Tx. We are steeling growing. To this day the mandate for this ministry will always be based upon the original call of God..... To build the Kingdom One Family at a Time.
